The Earth Beast - Part III

Updated April 9, 2017 due to two popes being in Rome at the same time.

Rise of the Papal States and the Holy Roman Empire

Revelation 13 : 11 - 18

"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom, Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:  for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Before I discuss the earth beast I would like you, the reader, to know that this beast is not the false prophet, nor is it the dragon/devil.   Rather it exercises the authority of the sea beast that was given authority by the dragon/devil.  This beast is without a doubt, Papal Rome.  And Papal Rome is also known as the harlot that rides the beast as well as being the beast itself.

With that being said, let's move on to the solving of this metaphorical puzzle that was revealed to John concerning future events to the present day which has not been completely fulfilled as of yet but will be.  From what I have found through much study, it's quite close and closer than you think.

Beast coming up out of the earth :

To pick up where we left off, I stated that the sea beast was pregnant.  During the course of history at the time of the Divided Roman Empire it later became the Holy Roman Empire with the papal states arising within.  It consisted of a group of territories in central Italy ruled by the popes from 754 AD to 1870 AD.  They were originally given to the papacy by Pepin the Short and reached their greatest extent in 1859.  This is without a doubt the beast coming up out of the earth.  Here is where both popes and emperors were also existing together.

Over the course of time before the rise of the papal states, the popes status had been changed to include imperial authority through what was called the "Donation of Constantine" in 334 AD which would establish power and seat of authority back in Rome and making the first pope an imperial power but not emperor.  The papacy had received an authoritative voice from the East.

The popes maintained this power vigorously over the course of time letting all "proper" Royal Roman Emperor successors deplete; biding time to become the sole Emperor of Rome.

While there were emperors and kings that came and went during the time of the Holy Roman Empire being crowned or "anointed" by the papacy throughout the course of history, they were living under the deception that they were of complete authority; the status of the papacy having temporal (worldly power) had never changed except during the time of Napoleon Bonaparte where that power was vanquished but later reinstated.

The last papal state, The Vatican City, was formally established as a separate state within Rome by the Lateran treaty of 1929 giving the popes back not only their temporal power but imperial recognition.  Below is the full pertinent historical account that is needed to solve this mind boggling puzzle.

Two horns like a lamb and spoke as a dragon :

First I want to discuss the two horns like a lamb.  This represents a division yet at the same time a whole.  The lamb resembling the likeness or representation of Christ / Christianity.

Next, this beast speaks as a dragon.  This means that this beast spoke with the authority of the Emperor of the Roman Empire.  If one remembers as to what has been stated thus far in the prior studies, the Roman Empire was divided with the seat of authority moving to the east in Byzantium.  Later Byzantium (the eastern half of the Roman Empire) would be called Constantinople which is now modern day Istanbul, Turkey.

Here is where one can pick up the whole scenario before, during and after the rise of the Papal States, Papal Empire and the Divided Roman Empire then becoming the Holy Roman Empire that was conceived within the sea beast.

Update May 17, 2020 :  This beast's horns are the Roman Catholic Church and the Byzantine Catholic Church, East and West.  The two horns could classify as two kingdoms but also as two kings (Pope Francis and Emeritus Pope Ratzinger) but I would opt for the two kingdoms of the catholic churches East and West since both sit on seven hills and both are the remnants of the Roman Empire which exists solely through religion worldwide.

Now for a recap :

Diocletian (284 - 305AD) - Sole Roman Emperor.   Divided and quartered the Roman Empire known as the Tetrarchy.  Diocletian becoming Augustus of the Eastern half and gave his long-time friend Maximian the title of Augustus in the Western half.  Proclaims himself and his co-rulers as Gods and was also considered special spokesman on earth for Jupiter, "King of the Gods" and assumed the epithet "Jovius"; Maximium became "Herculius" as a representative for Hercules, the industrious son and helper of Jupiter and benefactor of mankind.

We have to put the cart before the horse hear to figure out this puzzle; there is a dual nature going on here; "the beast with two horns that speaks as a dragon"

First there was the establishment :

Constantine I (274 - 337 AD) - Roman Emperor who became sole ruler of the Roman Empire, both East and West in 324 AD.  He ended pagan persecution of Christians, accepted Christianity became baptized in 337 AD before his death and was the founder of the Christian Empire.  Here is the two horns like a lamb and speaks as a dragon.  He was the authoritative descendant of the Roman Empire (Dragon that gave Sea Beast Authority) and accepted Christianity (Lamb) hence the two horns since the empire was divided that spoke (authoritative voice of the Roman Emperor).  In 330 AD Constantine created a second capital in Byzantium, Nova Roma, known after him as Constantinople, which became the permanent seat of the Eastern Empire for the original Roman Emperors that followed after him up to the reign of the last Emperor of the East.  Constantinople is now modern day Istanbul, Turkey.

Eusibius, a Greek Christian writer, stated that years later Constantine told him that at the course of his march on Rome to defeat Maxentius, who had "declared himself" Augustus in the West, had seen a vision of the cross of Christ against the sun and beneath it the words "In this conquer".  Before the walls of Rome, Constantine saw a further vision telling him to have the soldiers mark their shields with the Christian monogram, the Greek letters "chi" and "ro", the first two letters of of the Greek word "Christos" meaning "Christ" intersecting.  Constantine regarded his victory as showing the favor of the Christian God.

Keep all the above in mind, for it relates to another mirror image of another religion and will be in a future study called "Satan's Throne and the Gog / Magog War" concerning Satan's throne and the establishment of another False Religion trying to establish a worldly kingdom which is currently happening within the world to this very day.

A smokescreen was created as well as a back door and he's probably a step ahead again but he'll be too late to establish a third.  Truly his time is short.

Here's where the dual nature comes in along with the authority given :

"and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,"

In 334 AD Pope Sylvester I and his successors receive temporal power (worldly power) of Rome and all provinces, districts and cities in Italy along with the western regions through what is called the "Donation of Constantine" which was later denounced (not recognized) by Holy Roman Emperor Otto III (983 - 1002 AD) and also later pronounced as a forgery during the 15th century yet was widely accepted by the papacy as genuine for 800 years and was used by medieval popes to bolster territorial and secular claims to power.  It was also a cause of the Catholic Church being split into two in the Great East-West Schism of 1054.

Purportedly issued by the fourth century Roman Emperor Constantine I, the Donation grants Pope Sylvester I and his successors, as inheritors of St. Peter, dominion over lands in Judea, Greece, Asia, Thrace, Africa, as well as the city of Rome, with Italy and the entire Western Roman Empire, while Constantine would retain imperial authority in the Eastern Roman Empire from his new imperial capital of Constantinople.  The text claims that the Donation was Constantine's gift to Sylvester for instructing him in the Christian faith, baptizing him and miraculously curing him of leprosy.

It has been suggested that an early draft was made shortly after the middle of the 8th century in order to assist Pope Stephen II in his negotiations with Pepin the Short, the Frankish Mayor of the Palace.  In 754, Pope Stephen II crossed the Alps to anoint Pepin king, thereby enabling the Carolingian family to supplant the old Merovingian royal line. In return for Stephen's support, Pepin apparently gave the Pope the lands in Italy which the Lombards had taken from the Byzantine Empire. These lands would become the Papal States and would be the basis of the Papacy's temporal power for the next eleven centuries.

This is a key and sneaky move and relates to what Diocletian has done prior to Constantine.  We now have the so called "partners in crime" yet once again.

Of course there would be bad blood between east and west afterwards and there would be ensuing war that followed to try to claim authority of territories first in the West and then in the East.  These rulers of course would not be able to regain the imperial authority of Rome handed down to the papacy by Constantine which would later be called a forgery.  These emperors and kings were only "consecrated" with the office of the pope retaining its temporal power even up to this very day through which what is now called a lie.

Have a look at the deal with the devil to get the idea of what is being said here within this study.

Now you have your beast that arises from the earth with two horns like a lamb that speaks as a dragon that exercises all the power of the first beast before him with the additional following historical fact :

Papal states and rise of the Papal Empire 754 AD to 1870 AD :  It consisted of a group of territories in central Italy ruled by the popes from 754 to 1870 AD.  They were originally given to the papacy by Pepin the Short and reached their greatest extent in 1859.  The last papal state-the Vatican City-was formally established as a separate state by the Lateran Treaty of 1929.

"and causeth the earth and them which dwell therin to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."  This would of course be Imperial Worship due to what Constantine has done none the less.

Here is some more pertinent historical key facts that followed after Constantine I :

Romulus Augustus (475 - 476 AD) - Last Emperor of the West.  Remember the Empire was divided.  Romulus, however was not recognized by the Eastern Emperor Zeno.  The Roman senate informed Zeno that he was the Emperor of the whole empire after Romulus Augustus was deposed.  Fall of the Western Roman Empire also subsequently happened.  After the fall of Rome in the west, the pope served as a source of authority and continuity.

Justinian I (527 - 562 AD) - Roman Emperor of the East.  Little horn of the fourth beast in Daniel's dream which has been stated within the studies of Daniel's dream.  During 542 - 543 AD, the worst plague before the 14th-century Black Death ravaged the Mediterranean world leaving the population depleted for generations.

Nika Riots (January 13, 532 AD) - A tense and angry populace arrived at the Hippodrome for the races.  The Hippodrome was next to the palace complex and thus Justinian could watch from the safety of his box in the palace and preside over the races.  From the start the crowd had been hurling insults at Justinian.  By the end of the day, at race 22, the partisan chants had changed from "Blue" or "Green" to a unified Nίκα ("Nika", meaning "Win!" or "Conquer!"), and the crowds broke out and began to assault the palace.  For the next five days the palace was under virtual siege.

Some of the senators saw this as an opportunity to overthrow Justinian, as they were opposed to his new taxes and his lack of support for the nobility.  The rioters, now armed and probably controlled by their allies in the Senate, also demanded that Justinian dismiss the prefect John the Cappadocian, who was responsible for tax collecting, and the quaestor Tribonian, who was responsible for rewriting the legal code.  They then declared a new emperor, Hypatius, who was a nephew of former Emperor Anastasius I.

Justinian, in despair, considered fleeing, but his wife Theodora is said to have dissuaded him.  As Justinian rallied himself, he created a plan that involved Narses, a popular eunuch, as well as the generals, Belisarius and Mundus.  Carrying a bag of gold given to him by Justinian, the slightly built eunuch entered the Hippodrome alone and unarmed, against a murderous mob that had already killed hundreds.  Narses went directly to the Blues' section, where he approached the important Blues and reminded them that Emperor Justinian supported them over the Greens.  He also reminded them that the man they were crowning, Hypatius, was a Green.  Then, he distributed the gold.  The Blue leaders spoke quietly with each other and then they spoke to their followers.  Then, in the middle of Hypatius's coronation, the Blues stormed out of the Hippodrome.  The Greens sat, stunned.  Then, Imperial troops led by Belisarius and Mundus stormed into the Hippodrome, killing the remaining rebels.

About thirty thousand rioters were reportedly killed.  Justinian also had Hypatius executed and exiled the senators who had supported the riot.  He then rebuilt Constantinople and the Hagia Sophia, and was free to establish his rule.

Pope Gregory I (590 - 604 AD) - A Roman who is known for two chief features of his lasting work which are the enforcement of papal supremacy and the establishment of the temporal position of the papal office.

632 AD - The Death of the Prophet Mohammed.  Half of the coin being the false prophet and the Islamic religion with the other half being false christianity.

"And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;" :  This is the instigating of war through the church secretly and deceptively within; without the people's knowledge, leading up to warfare in the sight of the Emperors of the East and the people of the land.  Use of confessionals anyone ??  How about catapult's far off in the distance out of sight launching huge fiery boulders ?!

"saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."

The three key words here to solve this puzzle is [an image to].  The answer ?  [a reflection of].  This is where "an image to" meaning [a reflection of] the beast comes in as well as giving life to this image (reflection) causing it to speak and those who do not worship (recognize) the beast would be killed.  I can't think of any other better example than at the time of Charlemagne plus the following middle ages, renaissance, inquisitions and crusades.

Charlemagne (747 - 814 AD) - The papacy, at odds with Byzantium and it's Empress Irene over the question of iconoclasm (the problem of image worship and the use of images in the church) and her ascension to the throne in Byzantium, looked to Charlemagne, a Frankish King, for protection and political leadership and regarded him as the true emperor of Latin Christendom and as the divinely appointed ruler of the earthly sphere.  Thus Pope Leo III who was a Roman, crowned Charlemagne Holy Roman Emperor on Christmas day, 800 AD and is traditionally believed to have established The Holy Roman Empire.

You may be shocked by what could very well be the truth at the following link concerning the above passage about Charlemagne !

Irene (752 - 803 AD) - was a Byzantine empress regnant having previously been empress consort and empress mother and regent.  As monarch she called herself basileus (emperor) rather than basilissa (empress).  She was married to Leo IV son of Emperor Constantine V and had birthed a son who would later be Constantine VI.  Devoted to the Orthodox Church she spent most of her time suppressing iconoclasm (the problem of image worship and the use of images in the church).

After the death of Constantine the V and Leo IV, Irene became regent for her 9 year old son and later becoming joint ruler after Constantine VI was declared sole ruler.

Irene was almost immediately confronted with a conspiracy after Leo IV had died to raise to the throne the Caesar Nikephorus, a half-brother of Leo IV.  She subsequently had Nikephorus and his co-conspirators ordained as priests, a status which disqualified them from ruling.  In 797 Irene had her son deposed and blinded and ascended the throne proclaiming herself.  Her accession served as pretext for Charlemagne to be crowned in 800 AD.  Irene was deposed in 802 AD after patricians conspired against here and placed Nikephorus, now a minister of finance, on the throne and she later died in exile.

Pope Leo III (795 - 816 AD) - a Roman who needed help against enemies in Rome and who saw the throne of of the Byzantine Emperor as vacant (lacking a male counterpart) crowned Charlemagne as Roman Emperor in 800 AD.  This was seen as an insult to Byzantium and the Orthodox Church.  Although in 802 Nikephorus was ascended to the throne in Byzantium, they were too late, for the Pope had temporal power and now had made an image/reflection of an emperor !

By doing this, the pope established precedent in the west that no man would be crowned emperor without anointment by a pope.  The East however, continued its imperial tradition without papal authority, upon which it never depended.

There is something of noteworthy importance.  The problem of iconoclasm.  Irene had a problem with people using images for worship within the church.  This was giving worship of the emperor a run for their money.  Of course the papacy had a problem with this and was at odds with Irene, for this would actually start to expose and question the papacy, the church, its status and its true intent that was so cleverly concealed.

Secondly, from the start of the Roman Kingdom and during it's course of conquests, the kingdom was impregnating itself with the religions of the world.  Some of which are of notable importance :  Africa, Babylon, Greece, Persia, not to mention Rome's own religion.  They finally indoctrinated Christianity 700 years later equating it with afore mentioned religions and imperial worship.

True Christianity had not nor will it ever have anything to do with religion, religious institutions or paganism with it's incorporated symbols, statuary and signs which branched off from Rome all throughout the world and within government.  The true church are believers which stand alone outside of religious and political theocracy.

One only need to look to Rome and the Vatican to see this as well as Washington D.C along with other political and religious grounds.  One can also do a study on mythology, occultism and ancient religions to prove this as fact.  Most of it is wide out in the open and the rest is hidden of which it has been exposed if one knows where to look.

"Next some more important historical facts, I know -- but it's important :

King Otto I (962 - 973 AD) - First German King to be crowned Holy Roman Emperor by Pope John XII in 962 AD and is often referred to as the founder of the Holy Roman Empire known as the First Reich which ended in 1806 AD.  He is also the first of the Germans to be called "The Emperor of Italy".

Frederick III (1415 - 1493 AD) - He was the last German King crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in Rome.

Fall of Constantinople (1453 AD) - The Emperors of the East appealed to the west for help, but the Pope would only consider sending aid in return for a reunion of the Eastern Orthodox Church with the See of Rome but the Orthodox citizenry and clergy intensely resented the authority of Rome and the Latin Rite.  Some western troops arrived to defend but most western rulers, distracted by their own affairs, did nothing as the Ottomans picked apart the remaining Byzantine territories.  Sultan Mehmed's army laid siege to the city on May 29, 1453 with the last Byzantine Emperor, Constantine XI Palaiologos, was last seen casting off his imperial regalia and throwing himself into hand-to-hand combat after the walls of the city were taken.  This is "traditionally" known as the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire.

Andreas Palaiologos (1453 - 1503 AD) - Nephew of Constantine XI who inherited the now defunct title of Byzantine Emperor and used it from 1465 till his death in 1503 AD.  In 1465 he lived in Rome under the protection of the Papal States.  He sold his imperial titles and rights twice with the rights going to Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile.  Andreas died a pauper even after selling his rights.

Eight years after the marriage of Ivan III of Russia with Andreas' sister Zoe and only 1 year after the birth of their son in 1480, Ivan had started to call himself Tsar (Caesar).  This was related to Russia's ambitions to become an Orthodox Third Rome (Constantinople being the second Rome) and Byzantium's heir.  Finally, in 1514, Vasili III of Russia, was recognized in the title of emperor of Russia in a letter from Maximilian I, the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire.  Maximilian's letter was of great importance to "Ivan the Terrible" and "Peter the Great", when they wished to back up their titles of "tsar" and "emperor".  This letter was needed for somebody to be legally proclaimed Roman Emperor or heir of Roman/Byzantine Empire.   The idea of the Russian Empire as the new Third Rome was kept alive until it's demise with the Russian Revolution of 1917.

While most scholars believed that Andreas left no descendants, Donald M. Nicol's "The Immortal Emperor" recognizes a Constantine Palaiologos who served in the Papal Guard and a Maria who married Russian Noble Mihail Vasilivich as possible offspring of Andreas.

Charles V (also known as Carlos I) (1500 - 1558 AD) - Charles was the eldest son of Philip the Handsome (son of Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I) and Queen Joanna of Castile Leon (who also later became heiress to the kingdom of Aragon after the death of Philip in 1506) thus initiating the Hapsburg Dynasty in Spain.

Charles received a dual inheritance.  Castile Leon and Aragon jure matris upon the death of his maternal grandfather Ferdinand II of Aragon in 1516 making him the first de jure King of Spain.  He then inherited the entire Hapsburg Dynasty with the imperial throne becoming Holy Roman Emperor handed to him by his paternal grandfather Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I who outlived his son Philip.

In October of 1555, Charles abdicated his various titles and retired to the monastery.  He suffered from severe gout and later died in September 1558 from fatal malaria.  He was the last man to hold the title of "proper" Roman Emperor and to be crowned in Rome.  All following successors only held the title of "emperor elect".

A discovery ! - The much talked of Anti-Christ (1 John 2:18 did state that there are many anti-christs, meaning anti-anointed and yet anti-christ is not mentioned anywhere in the Book of Revelation which proves anti-christ is not the Dragon who is known as the Devil, Satan and the Snake as those in religion would teach), could this Anti-Christ be the eighth king, known as the eighth head of the fourth beast and be somewhere alive today from the lineage of Charles V or Andreas Palaiologos and become Holy Roman Emperor of Rome which concerns the western part of the empire and attempt to be the sole authoritative ruler of both aspects spoken of in the prior study of Part III concerning Nebuchadnezzar's dream ?

Could Satan (known as the dragon, snake and devil) still have concentrated efforts concerning the eastern half of the Byzantine Empire later renamed Constantinople which is now modern day Istanbul, Turkey where the Throne of Satan is located in Pergamos (within Mysia) have a hand in dealings with the lineage of Andreas Palaiologos or Muhammed (the false prophet of the religion Islam) to this very day ?

Francis II - Last Holy Roman Emperor Elect ruling from 1792 to 1806 AD.  In 1804 he had founded the Austrian Empire.  Napoleon dictated the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire and Francis abdicated in 1806 in which the office of Holy Roman Emperor dissolved.  Francis II took on the name Francis I and became emperor of Austria ruling from 1804 to 1835 AD .

Napoleon Bonaparte - (1769 - 1821 AD) - Emperor of France.  In 1803 during the French Revolutionary War he completely reorganized the Holy Roman Empire.  The number of states were greatly reduced, and the remaining states were aggrandized at the expense of the petty princedoms and ecclesiastical estates.  After the fall of Napoleon, no attempts were made to restore the empire.

The Counter Reformation - Pope Pius VI and his successor Pope Pius VII saw their states curtailed, occupied and twice abolished between 1796 and 1814 AD from French invaders under Napoleon Bonaparte.
This led to the Council of Vienna in (1815 AD).  The Congress of Vienna fully restored "the states of the papacy" and placed them under Austrian protection.

Conspiracies and Revolutions notably characterizing the following decades :

Pope Pius IX (1848 AD) - Was liberal at his ascension and granted his states a constitution.  The events of 1848 turned him against current revolutionists.

Napoleon III - Sent French troops to help restore Pope Pius IX as ruler of the Papal States in 1849 AD after his rule had been overthrown by the revolutionaries of the Italian Nationalist Movement who had proclaimed a Roman Republic in which Napoleon III failed to control.  French troops remained in Rome to protect the Pope until the outbreak of the Franco-Prussian War in 1870 AD.

Giuseppe Garibaldi - Invaded the remaining papal states twice but was prevented from taking Rome by Victor Emmanuel II in 1862 and Napoleon III in 1869.

Victor Emmanuel II (1870 AD) - King of Italy.  The fall of Napoleon III permitted Victor Emmanuel to seize Latium, the immediate neighborhood of Rome which was declared the Capital of Italy.  However, the Government of Italy could not take possession of its Capital because Napoleon III kept a French Garrison in Rome protecting Pope Pius IX.  The opportunity to eliminate the papal states came when the Franco-Prussian war began and Napoleon III had to recall his Garrison from Rome.  Widespread public demonstrations demanded that the Italian Government take Rome.

On September 10, 1870, Italy declared war on the papal states, and the Italian army crossed the frontier of the then remaining papal territory on 11 September and advanced slowly toward Rome.  The Italian army reached the Aurelian walls on 19 September and placed Rome under a state of siege.  The pope's tiny army was incapabale of defending the city yet he ordered it to put up at least a token resistance to emphasize that Italy was acquiring Rome by force and not consent.  Subsequently 49 Italian soldiers died and 14 papal zouaves died.

The pope took great care in not recognizing the legitimacy of the Italian government following the capture of Rome.  From July 1, 1871 Rome became the official capital of united Italy and from then until June 1929 the popes had no temporal power.  Pius IX refused to recognize the loss of temporal power and referred to himself a "prisoner in the Vatican"; his successors followed his example.  So now we have the death of the earth beast but it will arise from the grave and thus this instituted what was called the Roman Question.

German Empire (1871 - 1918 AD) - Known as the Second Reich.

Lateran Treaty of 1929 - Resolved the Roman Question.  The Vatican acknowledged Italian sovereignty over the former papal states and in turn, Italy recognized papal sovereignty over Vatican City within Rome and paid a large financial sum to the pope in compensation.  The papacy also pledged to remain neutral in international affairs but this did not stop them from using their religious influence.

The Treaty remained in effect after the monarchy of Italy was abolished after WWII.  However, a concordant put it into effect in 1985, in which the treaty was modified stating that Roman Catholicism is no longer the state religion of Italy although Vatican City, which was formally established as a separate state within Rome along with the popes sovereignty and religious authority given back with imperial and temporal power that was given to the pope during the reign of Constantine due to the treaty of 1929 was still recognized.

In retrospect the Lateran Treaty of 1929 gave the pope full authority of church and state within Vatican City within Rome yet once again; only this time, the office of the pope is now officially considered and recognized as the office of king/emperor as well as religious leader within Vatican City within Rome hence receiving the full title of Holy Roman Emperor which continues to this very day.

Nazi Germany (1933 - 1945 AD) - Known as the Third Reich.

1945 to present -  I'll leave that up to you.  I've already studied it and lived most of it.  All of which does have biblical reference.

There have been seven Holy Roman Emperors from the time of the Lateran Treaty of 1929.  The reason for stating all of this history will show conclusive in The Harlot that Rides the Beast.

Of a final note, I would have to agree with historians when they stated that the Holy Roman Empire was neither Holy nor an Empire.  They are right.  It is but a reflection of the Roman Empire and its demise is imminent.
